FAQs
Can adults really learn perfect pitch?
Yes. While it’s rare, real cases prove adults can train pitch recognition. Pitches.App uses proven drills, reference wipers, and tracking to help you do it step by step.
Is this the same as relative pitch?
No. Relative pitch uses a reference note — perfect pitch means you identify any note with no help. Our “wiper” feature resets your ear so you don’t cheat with memory tricks.
Do I need to know music theory?
Nope. If you can hear a note, you can train your ear. You don’t need to read sheet music or play an instrument (though it helps).
How long will it take?
It depends on your daily effort. Some see progress in weeks — others take months. Pitches.App tracks your real stats so you see exactly how you improve.
What makes Pitches.App different?
It’s built for adults, not kids. Your stats are public (if you want), drills adapt to you, and the reference wiper breaks old training myths. You’ll see your real progress — no illusions.
Can I train my singing too?
Yes! Later versions will include mic tests so you can sing a note and check your pitch. For V1, we focus on training your ear first.
What if I mess up or miss days?
No worries. Streaks help you stay motivated, but life happens — just jump back in and keep training. Your stats pick up where you left off.
Is there a free version?
Yes. The core drills are free so you can start right now. Premium adds advanced stats, more sounds, and custom modes.
Who’s behind Pitches.App?
I’m Kaushik — I’m learning perfect pitch myself, in public, at age 22. This is my proof that it’s possible, and you’re invited to prove it with me.
